Higher education
Bachelor i Arts and Crafts
After dealing with my passion for art and crafts in my own life, I decided to step into the unknown and apply for a year with arts and crafts at the new University of Agder. It started my journey towards a bachelor degree and several other courses at the same faculty.
My knowledge is daily in use and this change of course in my life has been one of the most significant for the choices I have made so far. Creativity is a trait I can not and do not want to escape.
In 2021, the second year of Covid-19 in Norway, opened for another educational opportunity. I was looking for work, but the government gave us all a loophole to study while being unemployed. This brought my attention to communication and media. The spring of 2024 this has turned my worklife upside down, and by the end of 2026 I dream of a full time job where digital communication is a big part of daily life.
Master in Cultural management
After some consideration and without an employer, I startet a Master´s degree. Cultural management ticked off a lot of things a wanted to learn more about. I travelled through life with full time work, one course every semester and a lot of volunteer work for about 3 years before I had to jump off. After 10 years I finished my degree in June 2023.
My thesis revolved around the great work of DKS (Den Kulturelle Skolesekken). Cultural artists from different creative and artistic industries get to show their skills and cultural education in the Norwegian public schools. The theoretical issue I researched based it focus on implementations and how the bills and rulings from the government effects the schools employees (Kulturkontakten).
Psychology
Learning life and how we humans react was my intake on why to study psychology. I did no go any further on that bachelor, but all knowledge from that year has given me a better understanding in both my educational life - but probably the most in my private and daily life. Every meeting and relationship contains different aspects of psychology. I believe everyone should learn Psychology 101!
